I am new to having cattle, I have a sick cow and called Still Grass with my concerns, they were extremely friendly and receptive on the phone! I was given a call back by a Veterinarian that day and prescribed medications while also being given instructions on how to give them! Everyone I spoke to was kind and supportive and I will absolutely use them for our livestock animals! Thank you again!

Dr Hoyt was very knowledgeable, personable, patient, and had a positive attitude the whole time fixing a prolapse on my first time heifer. Will be recommending him to others for their vetting needs.

Dentistry

We know how important a horse’s mouth is to their overall health. We provide full dental services — from routine floating to identifying oral pain, malocclusions, and issues that affect performance and comfort. When needed, we also perform dental extractions and minor oral surgeries to address more complex problems. Because many dental issues stem from deeper physiological and anatomical problems, it’s important to have dental work performed by a veterinarian who can diagnose and treat the full picture—not just file down sharp points. With veterinary-led care, you can trust your horse is receiving safe, accurate, and comprehensive treatment.

Herd Health

We offer comprehensive herd services in our clinic or directly on your farm, from pregnancy checks and processing calves to bull semen testing. With years of experience working in large commercial operations, we understand the efficiency, accuracy, and organization required at the herd level. If you have questions about vaccination schedules or management strategies, we’re happy to help develop customized herd protocols to support your operation.

Emergencies

HorseColic.jpg

We know how stressful it is when your horse is colicking or your cow is struggling to calve. We may not be able to guarantee availability every hour of the year, but we do everything we can to be there for our clients when emergencies occur.

The most reliable way to reach us is by calling our main number. After hours, our phone system will notify the veterinarian on call so your situation can be addressed promptly.

FARM CALLS

Mobile Veterinary Service

We provide farm calls within a 30 mile radius around our clinic, located in Marseilles, IL. To make the most of travel routes and serve all clients efficiently, we often group farm-call visits by location. This helps us cover our service area in a timely manner, though it can sometimes mean a slightly longer wait compared to hauling animals to our facility.

While many services can be performed right on the farm, some procedures are better suited for our clinic where we can maintain a higher level of cleanliness, climate control, and utilize our special animal handling equipment. Our medical stalls and treatment areas allow us to manage cases that require advanced care, extensive monitoring, or more intensive nursing support. Hauling to the clinic is often the best option when your animal needs timely care and the controlled environment our facility provides.
