Our Facility

VISITING US
Getting Here
The clinic is conveniently located just 6 miles northeast of the Route 80 and 71 intersection near Ottawa, IL. Our entrance is directly off of Rt 71 and across the road from the crashed airplane monument.
Coming down the driveway, you'll see a sign directing you based on the species you're bringing to the clinic. If you have livestock, please continue to the left. If you have horses, please proceed to right. For those heading to the store or to pick up dispenses, please continue straight and park in front of the building.
There is ample room for trucks and trailers of every size and you won't have to back up your trailer at all! Cattle loading is done under a pull through awning and horse trailers can pull straight into their parking spots then pull forward to leave.
OUR FACILITY
See What's Finished and What's Coming Next
We’re proud to be working out of our new facility—even though it’s still a work in progress. As each phase is completed, we continue adding new spaces and expanding the services we can offer. Our modern, purpose built reproduction and veterinary facility sits on 100 acres. It includes indoor hydraulic cattle handling facilities, a spacious equine treatment area, pastures and turnout areas for long-term animal housing, and much more. Construction began in February 2023, with our first priority being the animal care areas. Now that those are operational, our focus is on preparing for the upcoming breeding season and continuing to bring more of our vision to life.
IN USE
Equine Treatment Area

Our spacious equine treatment area is central to our equine reproduction and sports medicine services, featuring three indoor foaling and medical stalls and two sets of stocks. A dedicated trotting path and round pen, located directly outside, will be completed soon to support lameness evaluation and performance assessment. A full rubber floor installation is planned for spring 2026.
IN USE
Indoor Cattle Handling Area

Our indoor, climate-controlled cattle handling area features a custom-built double-alley hydraulic chute with an integrated scale, allowing us to efficiently work entire herds or individual animals in a controlled environment. Entry through a Bud Box is intentionally designed to promote calm, low-stress cattle flow, improving safety for both animals and handlers.
This versatile space supports a wide range of services, including routine herd health work, advanced reproductive procedures, oocyte collection, and embryo flushing.
IN USE
Cattle Unloading & Holding Pens

Our cattle unloading and holding area features a covered pull-through design that allows for easy loading and unloading without the need to back trailers. Cattle are unloaded directly into working alleys, where they can be routed into short-term holding pens or move straight into the hydraulic alley and chute.
The short-term holding pens provide a safe, controlled option for animals that need to be dropped off early or held overnight prior to scheduled procedures, supporting flexibility and smooth workflow for both clients and cattle.
IN USE
Mare Motel

Our outdoor stalls with individual covered runs provide flexible housing for mares during breeding season, as well as for horses requiring short-term boarding for minor medical issues or rehabilitation. Each space is designed to allow horses room to move while maintaining close monitoring and individualized care.
These runs are fully roofed and equipped with wind protection to provide shelter during inclement weather, while still offering fresh air and natural ventilation. This design helps reduce disease transmission, combining the benefits of outdoor airflow with the comfort and protection horses need.
IN USE
Breeding Shed

Our outdoor breeding shed is a spacious, enclosed area with crushed lime footing, designed to support safe and efficient breeding and collection procedures. The space features a tie rail for live cover breeding as well as a phantom for semen collection, allowing flexibility across breeding programs.
A dedicated teasing wall enhances mare and handler safety and is especially valuable when training stallions to safely and confidently use a phantom for collection.
IN USE
After Hours Order Pick-Up Room

We understand that clients can’t always make it to the clinic during regular business hours, so we’ve designed a dedicated after-hours pickup room for medication and supply access. Once an order is placed and paid for, items are securely staged and available for convenient pickup during evenings or weekends, including access to emergency medications when needed.
The pickup room can also be used to drop off samples, allowing clients to stay on schedule while ensuring timely handling by our veterinary team.
COMING FEBRUARY 2026

The lab features dedicated air-handling systems to reduce contamination risk and is equipped with HEPA-filtered hoods where samples are handled, supporting strict quality control throughout the IVF process.
The lab also includes ample, secure storage for client-owned embryos and semen. By keeping the entire IVF process on-site and veterinarian-managed, we reduce logistics, maintain full accountability for advanced breeding programs.

These thoughtfully planned pasture areas allow for controlled turnout while maintaining close supervision and access to veterinary care.
Consistent turnout and well-managed pastures support physical well-being and reduced stress, which can play an important role in overall health and positively influence reproductive success during extended stays at the facility.
COMING SPRING 2026
Dedicated Stallion Housing

COMING SOON
Our dedicated stallion housing includes outdoor stalls with taller fencing and solid walls, providingappropriate separation and security while maintaining the same ventilation-focused approach used throughout our outdoor housing areas. Natural airflow supports respiratory health and reduced disease transmission, while still allowing close monitoring and controlled management.
Adjacent dry lot turnout areas allow stallions to be rotated throughout the day, supporting movement, routine, and overall well-being during breeding or collection periods.
